Ministry Operations Coordinator
Full-Time | On-Site | 40 Hours Per Week | $21–$27/Hour
Horizon Church is looking for an organized, creative, and ministry-minded individual to join our team as our Ministry Operations Coordinator!
This role supports the day-to-day operations of our church through event coordination, communications, administration, and direct support to the Executive Pastor.
We're looking for someone who loves Jesus, enjoys working with people, and brings creativity, initiative, and attention to detail to everything they do.
Essential Job Functions
Event Coordination: Organize church events and gatherings, manage registrations and logistics, and oversee the Hospitality Team.
Communications: Prepare weekly emails, Sunday announcements, calendars, website updates, and other church communications.
Graphic Design: Create professional, brand-consistent print and digital materials using Canva, including flyers, booklets, signage, and social media graphics.
Administration: Manage office communications, room bookings, supplies, church calendars, and records in Planning Center and Google Workspace.
Ministry Support: Collaborate with ministry leaders and the Media Coordinator to coordinate and promote church programs and events.
Executive Support: Assist the Executive Pastor with scheduling, correspondence, meetings, reports, and special projects.
Record Management: Maintain volunteer records, track criminal record checks and renewals, and handle sensitive information confidentially.
Qualifications
A growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with Horizon Church's mission, values, and Statement of Faith.
Strong organizational, communication, and administrative skills.
Proficiency in Canva is essential, including the ability to independently design high-quality, multi-page print and digital materials.
Proficiency in Google Workspace and willingness to learn Planning Center.
Experience in event planning, communications, or administration.
High integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
A valid driver's licence and a clear, current vulnerable sector criminal record check.
Schedule & Compensation
This is a full-time, on-site position, Monday through Friday (40 hours per week), with compensation ranging from $21–$27 per hour.Occasional evening and weekend availability is required for special events, conferences, and seasonal ministry activities.

Inclusive Ministry Support Coordinator
Part-Time | Approximately 10 Hours Per Week | $19–$25/Hour
Horizon Church is looking for a compassionate, ministry-minded individual to join our Kids Ministry team as our Inclusive Ministry Support Coordinator!
This role focuses on creating a welcoming and supportive environment where children of all abilities can experience the love of Jesus, grow in their faith, and know they belong.
We're looking for someone who has a heart for children with diverse needs, enjoys equipping volunteers, and is passionate about partnering with families.
Essential Job Functions
Volunteer Support: Recruit, train, and encourage a team of volunteer support partners (“buddies”) who assist children with diverse abilities and support needs.
Sunday Ministry: Provide hands-on support during Sunday services, coach volunteers, respond to emerging needs, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment.
Family Partnership: Build relationships with families, understand their children's needs, and support meaningful participation in Kids Ministry.
Training & Development: Lead inclusive ministry training for Kids Ministry volunteers twice per year, providing practical strategies for supporting children with diverse needs.
Ministry Improvement: Work alongside the Kids Ministry Coordinator to identify opportunities to strengthen inclusive practices and make appropriate adjustments.
Individual Support: Help develop, communicate, and review support approaches for children when needed.
Qualifications
A growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with Horizon Church's mission, values, and Statement of Faith.
Experience working with children in ministry, education, or support-based environments.
Understanding of child development and experience supporting children with neurodiverse, behavioural, developmental, or physical needs.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships with children, families, and volunteers.
Experience training, coaching, or encouraging volunteers or staff.
A compassionate, adaptable, and solution-oriented approach to supporting children with diverse needs.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage responsibilities independently.
A satisfactory vulnerable sector criminal record check and willingness to complete Horizon Church's child-safety screening and training requirements.
Relevant education or specialised training is considered an asset.
Schedule & Compensation
This is a part-time, hourly position averaging 10 hours per week, including Sunday mornings and flexible mid-week hours. Compensation ranges from $19–$25 per hour, based on experience. The position reports to the Kids Ministry Coordinator.
