As the spiritual heart of Regent Christian Academy Society, Horizon Church helps bring this mission to life through worship, discipleship, and outreach across both the church and school community.

The Student Ministries Pastor K–12 plays a central role in shaping the spiritual formation of students from Kindergarten through Grade 12. This role works across Horizon Church and Regent Christian Academy as one connected ministry expression, helping students grow in faith, take ownership of their relationship with Jesus, and step into leadership.

The Core Ministry Focus is to build a clear and consistent discipleship pathway where school, church, and family life work together to help students follow Jesus in everyday life.

Essential Job Functions

• Provide vision, leadership, and strategy for K–12 student ministry in alignment with Horizon Church and RCAS.
• Build and refine a clear discipleship pathway from Kindergarten through Grade 12 and beyond graduation.
• Lead student spiritual formation through chapel, worship, small groups, mentoring, missions, outreach, and student-led communities.
• Work with pastoral staff and school administration to align the spiritual life of Horizon Church and Regent Christian Academy.
• Oversee chapel culture across RCAS campuses, including worship, teaching, service flow, and spiritual atmosphere.
• Recruit, develop, and lead volunteers, staff, and student leaders.
• Create leadership structures that allow the ministry to grow and remain sustainable.
• Develop a culture of student ownership, leadership, and active faith.
• Build a K–12 missions and outreach strategy in partnership with Horizon Church leadership.
• Help students move from school-based faith experiences into meaningful involvement in the local church.
• Equip teachers, staff, and families to support student discipleship in everyday life.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• A strong, growing relationship with Jesus and a clear pastoral calling.
• A leadership style committed to equipping others for ministry.
• Ability to cast vision, build systems, and lead people with clarity.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Relational and adaptable with children, teenagers, parents, staff, and church leaders.
• Strategic thinker who can execute practically.
• Builder’s mindset with the ability to create structure where it does not yet exist.
• Strong biblical foundation and ability to teach, disciple, and mentor students.
• Comfortable leading in both church and school environments.

Experience and Education

• 4–5+ years of experience in youth, kids, next-gen, or student ministry.
• Experience leading teams and building ministry environments.
• Experience developing volunteers, staff, or student leaders.
• Exposure to missions, outreach, discipleship programs, or church-school ministry environments.
• Degree, diploma, or ministry training in Biblical Studies, Theology, Christian Education, or a related field preferred.

Commitment

This is a full-time pastoral role overseeing student ministries at Regent Christian Academy on behalf of Horizon Church. This role includes weekday office presence, school-based ministry involvement, church integration, chapels, family engagement, and seasonal ministry demands.

Compensation: CA $50,000–$90,000
Benefits: Extended Health & Dental. Pension plan available upon eligibility.
