From What They Said to What God Says

This week’s message centered around one powerful truth:
your life is not defined by what people say—it’s defined by what God says.

Francis shared his story of growing up with a disability, surrounded by voices that told him what his life would never be. He would never walk, never work, never build a future.

But everything changed when he encountered God.

Through Scripture, he discovered something deeper than circumstance:

  • You are made in the image of God (Genesis 1:26–27)

  • You are known and called (Jeremiah 1:5)

  • You are God’s workmanship (Ephesians 2:10)

  • You are a child of God (John 1:12)

That shift—from what people said to what God said—changed everything.

1. When You Meet God, Your Life Changes

Like Moses in Book of Exodus, one encounter with God can completely redirect your life.

Moses went from:

  • Hidden → Called

  • Insecure → Sent

  • Ordinary → Used by God

The turning point wasn’t his ability—it was God’s presence.

2. God Never Wastes Your Experiences

One of the strongest moments in the message:

The very pain you questioned may be the thing God uses most.

Francis’ years of crawling became the reason he now reaches thousands.

God uses:

  • Painful seasons

  • Waiting seasons

  • Work and life experiences

Nothing is wasted when it’s surrendered to Him.

3. Stop Focusing on What You Don’t Have

Moses said:

“I’m not eloquent… send someone else.”

God responded:

“I will be with you.”

We often disqualify ourselves based on:

  • Insecurity

  • Lack of skill

  • Fear

But God isn’t asking:
“Are you capable?”
He’s asking:
“Will you go?”

4. God Sees, Hears, and Responds

God says:

  • “I have seen…”

  • “I have heard…”

  • “I am concerned…”

  • “I have come down…”

He is not distant.
He is not unaware.
He is actively involved in your situation.

5. Nothing Can Stop God’s Purpose

When you surrender your life to God:

  • Your limitations don’t stop Him

  • Your past doesn’t disqualify you

  • Your circumstances don’t block Him

It’s not about who you are—
it’s about who He is.

Final Thought

God is already at work around you.

The question isn’t:
“Am I ready?”

It’s:
“Will I say yes?”

  1. What voices (past or present) have tried to define your identity?

  2. Which Scripture from the message stood out to you most, and why?

  3. Where in your life do you feel like saying “send someone else”?

  4. How have you seen God use difficult experiences for good?

  5. What is one practical way you can step into what God is calling you to this week?
